On maanantai-ilta. Tytöt laulavat sävelmää “Aamu vasta hämärtää” sanoilla “diidiidiidii” huoneessaan, vaikka heidän pitäisi olla hiljaa ja nukkua. Salli on minusta näköyhteyden etäisyydellä lattialla mahallaan yöpuku päällään ja katsoo minuun ja sanoo “ä ä ä ä”. Leevi vislaa sängyssään. Samuli lähti iPhonensa kanssa iltalenkille. Minulla on niskan seudulla olevat lihakset kipeänä. Tulin tietokoneelle etsimään jumppaohjeita mutta olenkin nyt kirjoittamassa tätä.
Jalka on toipunut mainiosti. Pääsen erittäin hyvin kulkemaan yhden kyynärsauvan varassa. Pääsen kulkemaan myös ilman k-sauvoja kokonaan, mutta mieheni takia, ettei hän luulisi olevansa naimisissa vanhan linkkaavan mummun kanssa, yritän muistaa käyttää kyynärsauvaa ja kävellä hillityn tasaisesti.
Aamiaiseksi söimme jugurttia myslin kera. Martalla valui siinä vaiheessa tuntemattomasta syystä johtuen verta nenästä hieman. Perheemme jakautuu neljään eri kategoriaan jugurtin syönnin suhteen. On maustamatonta ja arkijugurttia. On muromysliä ja hedelmämysliä. Neljää erilaista yhdistelmää siis esiintyy. Olisi viideskin, mutta sitä ei hallituksemme hyväksy. Martta nimittäin söisi jugurttinsa ilman jugurttia ja lautasta muromyslin kera.
Olemme kuunnelleet Astrid Lindgrenin Saariston lapset -äänikirjaa. Luimme vuosi sitten kirjan iltalukemisina lapsille, ja mielellään sitä kuuntelee nyt uudestaan. Astrid L. on paras.
Lounaaksi teimme Heinin kanssa makaronilaatikkoa. Jälkiruoaksi ohukaisia, arkisesti kermavaahdon ja vadelmahillon kera. Kahvi on edelleen J. Mokkaa.
Pianonsoittotouhuissa annoin ajatuksissani sylissäni vääntelehtivälle Sallille jotain kättä pidempää, joka oli lähinnä oleva esine, tällä kertaa lyijytäytekynä. Hän tökkäsi kynän terävällä päällä silmäluomeensa reiän ja nenänvarteensa naarmun ja huusi sitten. Minä kauhistelin tyhmyyttäni ja yritin lohduttaa, mutta hän ei rauhoittunut ennen kuin annoin hänelle kynän uudestaan. Vaihdoin vaarallisen kynän selkäni takana vaivihkaa paksuun tylsään puuväriin, ja se meni täydestä kolme sekuntia.
Minä sain yhden neuletyöni valmiiksi. Langat siihen olin ostanut 11 vuotta sitten. Langoista olin neulonut puolikkaan mekon ja puolikkaan villapaidan Liinalle ja kolmasosaponchon itselleni. Tämä viimeinen neulomus “tuubi” tuli valmiiksi, kun katkaisin jalkani ja sain näin istumismahdollisuuksia enemmän ja toisekseen tein siitä tarpeeksi pienen. Samuli kysyi, että mikä lankakimppu sulla on kaulassa.
Iltapalaksi tein (huom. “teiN” ei “teimME”) kukkakaaliparsakaalipekonicashewpähkinäsipulimajoneesisinappimustapippurisuolasalaattia. Kaikki söivät. Leevi söi pekonit ja pähkinät, ja sanoi, että hän voi syödä yhden parsakaalinkin, jos saa lisää pekonia ja pähkinöitä. Vastaukseksi hän sai vain ähkinöitä.
Iltapalan jälkeen Martta oli luotettavimman tietolähteen mukaan noussut pesuhuoneen penkille ja ruvennut riisumaan villapukuaan samalla kun oli leikkinyt Leevin kanssa “sano lakka” -leikkiä. Hänellä oli juuri hihojenpoisto-operaatio käynnissä kun hän horjahti ja tippui kasvoilleen lattialle. Toinen etuhammas meni kolmeen osaan, joista yksi osa tippui heti pois. Huomenna menemme hammaslääkäriin. Martta oli ilmeisen tyytyväinen saamaansa huomioon ja hoivaan ja kävi näyttämässä hammastaan minulle ja sanoi, että häneltä meni hammas poikki ja hän menee huomenna lääkäriin ja saa kepit.
Salli istuu nyt sylissäni ja repii suutani ja poskiani ja hymyilee. Nyt hän puklasi kaulassani olevaan lankakimppuun.

Kumpi on tärkeämpää, se miltä asiat näyttävät, vai se, miten ne oikeasti ovat? No tokihan tämä oikea oleminen on tärkeämpää. Se, että minä tykkään tuosta Sampasta vaikka en aina näytä siltä että tykkäisin. Pääasia että tykkää, vaikka naama irveessä.
Se onkin sitten oma ongelmansa, että miten se näyttäminen ja oikea oleminen erotetaan toisistaan, mistä tietää millä puolella milloinkin pitää olla? Jos meidän kanat näyttävät terveiltä ja onnellisilta, niin ne ovatkin sitä, ainakin minun näkökulmastani. Samoin, jos talo näyttää sotkuiselta, niin harvemmin se kovin siistikään siinä tapauksessa on. On vaikea näyttää oikein onnelliselta, jos masentaa (vaikka joltakin poliitikolta kai sekin varmasti onnistuu.) Mutta eihän kaikki ole niin yksinkertaista kumminkaan päin. Sellaisen älykkään havainnon olen tehnyt, että jotkut asiat ovat sitä miltä näyttävät, ja jotkut asiat eivät ole. Niin kuin meidän Viiru esimerkiksi: sillä on matoja, mutta vain minä näen sen (hännänpää on kippurassa), mutta joku vierailija voi ihan hyvin sanoa, että onpa teillä herttainen hyvinvoivan näköinen kissa. Kokonaan eri asia on se, miten ne madot saadaan sieltä pois, ts. miten drontal-tabletti saadaan sullottua sen kurkusta alas. (Kaikkea on kokeiltu, ja turvauduttu jopa 30 euroa maksavaan valeluliuokseen, jota vain eläinlääkäri voi määrätä.)
Mutta tähän alkuperäiseen ongelmaan siis vielä palataksemme. Olen ollut huomaavinani, että on ihmisiä, jotka mieluummin paneutuvat siihen näyttävyyteen, toisin sanoen laittavat ja kunnostavat sitä näkyvää. Kun kaikki näyttää hyvältä, niin eiköhän se kaikki olekin silloin oikein hyvää? Yksi logiikka tuo. Toinen on sitten se, ettei niin panosteta siihen näkyvään, vaan panostetaan asioihin siellä ruohonjuuritasolla. Jos ei olla terveitä, niin aletaan tervehdyttämään ensin sielua, ja sitten vasta, kun sielu on reilassa (eli ei koskaan), niin ryhdytään panostamaan kropan huoltoon. Kun huusholli näyttää siltä, että se on ylösalaisin, niin ei uskota silmiämme vaan ajatellaan vain, että tämähän vain näyttää tältä, ei tämä oikeasti ole tällainen tämä siivo. No, jos joskus satummekin tulemaan siihen tulokseen, että huusholli on sekaisin, niin ajattelemme sitä perimmäisen kaapin perimmäisen nurkan pölykertymää viimeisen rojun takana, ja järkeilemme, että kaiken sotkun syy ja alkutodellisuus on lähtöisin sieltä. Ja siivouksen on siis lähdettävä sieltä. Ja koska emme välitä, miltä siivous ulospäin näyttää, vedämme kaapista ronskisti kaikki rojut ulos ja sukellamme jynssäämään peränurkkaa, johon tietysti väsymme pian ja jätämme siivouksen sikseen. No, miten tämä nyt muuttui vaivihkaa passiivista me -muotoon? Salakavalaa…
Joka tapauksessa, olen kuitenkin huolissani siitä, että tänä aikana asiat näyttäytyvät liikaa sellaisina, minä ne näyttäytyvät, ts. miltä ne asiat näyttävät. Syynä lienee kaiken maailman netit, kuvakalleriat ja veispuukit (ja plogit). Tämän päivän nuoret eivät ole välttämättä vioittuneita, mutta he ovat paljon kuvoittuneempia kuin minä olin nuoruudessani. Veispuukkiin isketään päivittäin kuvia itsestä, ja samalla kommentoidaan kavereiden kuvia mm. seuraavanlaisilla kommenteilla: Iihana :):) Suulonen!!!! Jne. Sitten syynäillään tarkasti, miltä kukanenkin näyttää missäkin kuvassa. Siinä on helposti koko nuoruuden ajan nenä kuvaruudussa kiinni (ja kuvaruutu läskissä). Minulla oli nuoruus puoli elämää sitten, ja se ei ollut mitään superhelppoa aikaa, en sitä väitä ollenkaan en, mutta onneksi silloin oli merkitystä kuitenkin enemmän sillä olemisella!
Ja sitten, kaikki kokeneet saavat neuvoa, miten drontal-kammoisen kissan saa puhtaaksi leveistä heisimadoista…

Mauri Kunnaksen kirjat ovat hyviä. Niistä tykkäävät kaikki, historian ja äidinkielen opettajatkin. Jouluna meille ilmestyi Robin Hood -kirja, jota on luettu sittemmin ahkerasti, päivittäin. Lapset ovat imeneet joka sanan, kuvan, vitsin ja kertomuksen. Henkilöistä puhutaan ja äidiltä ja isältä kysellään, missä Sherwoodin metsä on ja onko Robin Hood vielä olemassa.
Ja sitten leikitään. Leevi on Robin Hood, Martta on veli Tuck, äiti on Pikku-John, Salli Alan a Dale ja isä tietysti Nottinghamin sheriffi. Martta juoksee tämän tästä äidin luo nojatuolin viereen ja kysyy, että “mikä minä olin?” “Veli Tuck”, on vastaus ja sitten kysytään että mikä äiti on, ja kun äiti ilmoittaa olevansa Pikku-John niin sitten halataan. Jos ei muisteta heti halata, niin veli Tuck kyllä muistaa muistuttaa.
Martta on kovapäinen kaksivuotiaaksi. Mutta äiti on ovela. Hän on keksinyt, että päiväunille mennään Sherwoodin metsään ja siellä tapahtuu tänään jänniä juttuja. Jos veli Tuck ei tottele, niin Pikku-John sitten itkee. Äiti on huomannut, että Veli Tuck on vähäsen tottelevaisempi kuin Martta. Siis vähäsen. Välillä äiti tarvitsee apua, täytyy vaikka tuoda Sallille ei kun Alan a Dalelle lelu. Joskus Martta on reipas ja tuo lelun, ja antaa heti myös ohjeen: “Tano hyvä veli tuk!”
Yhtenä iltana kello oli paljon, äiti oli väsynyt ja istui jo hyvin kumarassa nojatuolissaan. Äidillä oli vaippa sylissä, mihin hän yritti pyydystää alastonta Marttaa. Se oli aika epätoivoinen tehtävä äidille, jolla ei vielä toinen jalka kantanut sitä vastoin kun pyydystettävällä kantoi erittäin hyvin jokainen jalka ja käsi joita näytti olevan paljon kun ne heiluivat sinne ja tänne ja tuonne. Pikkuinen vikkeläliikkeinen tyttö kävi sieppaamassa juuri nukahtaneelta vauvalta tutin suusta. “Tano huono veli tuk!” “Tutti takaisin ja heti”, yritti äiti mutta huomasi pian että ensin on tosiaankin sanottava “huono veli tuk”. Lopulta tuo pikkuinen alaston munkki laittoi ihanasti tutin Alan a Dalen itkevään suuhun, ja taloon laskeutui siltä osin hiljaisuus. “Tano hienoa veli tuk!” “Mikä julma olento”, ajatteli äiti itku kurkussaan ja tyhjä vaippa sylissään samalla kun munkki viipotti juoksujalkaa aivan väärään suuntaan ohjeistaen että nyt pitäisi sanoa “iliootti veli tuk!”
